Instant EPG Updates — Guide Changes Show Up Right Away

We reworked how the TV guide links to your channels. Edits in the EPG Editor now appear after a simple EPG refresh in your player — no more full re-imports — plus permanent guide IDs and lighter, faster guides.

We've reworked how the TV guide (EPG) links to your channels. Until now, changing a channel's guide in the EPG Editor wouldn't show in your player until you fully re-imported the playlist. That's fixed.

What's better now

  • Edit a guide → just hit "Refresh EPG" in your player and the change is there. No more full re-imports for guide edits.
  • Permanent guide IDs — each channel now has a permanent guide ID, so its EPG link never breaks when you remap it.
  • Lighter guides — they load faster and are kinder to older apps and devices.

One quick thing to do — just once

Because we changed the channel guide IDs, your player needs to refresh once to pick up the new layout. Try these in order — stop as soon as your guide looks right:

  1. Refresh the EPG — "Refresh EPG" / "Force EPG update" in your app's settings (often enough on its own).
  2. Refresh the playlist — re-download/refresh the channel list, then refresh the EPG again.
  3. Re-add the EPG source — remove the EPG/XMLTV URL, add it back, then refresh EPG.
  4. Re-add the playlist — if it still looks off, delete the playlist/profile and add it again. This always works.

Going forward, any change you make in the EPG Editor is live immediately — a simple EPG refresh in your player is all you'll ever need. (Changing the channels themselves — enable/disable, rename, reorder — still needs a playlist refresh, same as always.)
